Submitawebsite was founded by Joe Griffin Sr. and Joe Griffin Jr. in 1997. The company started out as a simple search engine submission firm, hence the name "Submitawebsite." Submitawebsite has changed significantly since its inception in 1997, and has evolved into a sophisticated search engine marketing agency. In 2000, the company secured its first location in Scottsdale, Arizona, and hired approx. 5 employees. Since that time, Submitawebsite has experienced significant growth, and now employees approx. 20 employees in its 5,000 sq. ft. location in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Submitawebsite specializes in search engine optimization, link building, public relations and press release distribution, and tracking and reporting services. Submitawebsite currently services approx. 250 managed accounts, and services other websites with one-time programs on a daily basis.

In 2007 Submitawebsite was acquired by Website Pros, a NASDAQ company (WSPI). Website Pros employs nearly 700 employees in offices across the country, and is one of the largest companies in the world offering website design and marketing services to the SMB market.
